Rinca Island: Houses of the Komodo only exist in flores Indonesia

The day of the assignment has arrived, I leave with Mr. Zen from Kupang to Labuan Bajo. Traveling using a propeller plane, either Wings Air or Trans Nusa, forget euy .. Arriving in Labuan Bajo, we stay at one of the hotels for Rp300.000 / malam (2012). Standard amenities only. Spring bed, air conditioning, bathroom, drinking water, and breakfast.

Augus on the way
After a few days work, finally weekend came. It was Saturday, I planned to go there with Mr. Zen and Augus. Incidentally Augus and Angga was being given an assignment in Labuan Bajo as well. They are colleagues but different from field. Angga had previously been to the Komodo Islands, so he decided to stay at the hotel.
After getting an agreement with one of the ship owners at the port. Finally at 6 am the ship departs from the port in Labuan Bajo. Gue, Pak Zen, Augus, boat captain, and 1 crew. The routes to visit are Rinca Island, Kanawa Island, and Bidadari Island, all day full guys. One Day Trip .. The ranger offers a choice of going to the forest or hill tracks, and on each track provides 3 options ie short tracks, medium tracks, and long tracks. Finally we decided the medium track to the forest. Since in the kitchen area and residence of the ranger, we've been able to find dragons, even clustered. But less exciting if not see in the forest.
We decided to choose the forest path because the ranger said, we will find it easier to compare Komodo dragons hilly path. While the excellence of hilly path itself is a beautiful natural panorama beautiful.
After walking through the forest, meet with a large male dragon. The ranger reminded not too close to the dragons, a minimum distance of about 2-3 meters. The meeting with the Komodo dragon in the forest is relatively fewer than in the kitchen area, but the sensation is more tense, fuzzy. In addition to dragons, we can find other animals, say wild buffalo Komodo dragon food, hordes of apes, spitting cobra, and a typical eastern bird that I forget his name.
Actually if we choose the track hill, the scenery presented more attractive eyes, but he said it is more difficult to find dragons. Maybe next time if there is a chance there again, hilly path that I will select.
